Yellow Machines GO GREEN – From pioneering to innovative standard

The greening of track maintenance emphasizes the green image of the railway. Now a key criterion in tenders issued by infrastructure managers, alternative drive systems in track construction must fulfil stringent requirements. In terms of reliability and performance, time-tested previous generations based on combustion engines set the standard. Added value makes the switch to green machines more attractive.

Plasser InfraSpector

Keeping urban railway tracks available with a mobile testing lab – A road-rail vehicle that measures regional networks

Urban and regional networks are particularly challenging when it comes to inspecting and measuring infrastructure. More flexibility is required in order to carry out measuring work quickly and easily on site. The Plasser InfraSpector Truck moves autonomously on roads and rails. On track, it is also accredited as a testing lab in accordance with DIN ISO/IEC 17025, a decisive factor to ensure the quality and reliability of the measurements.

Plasser CatenaryCrafter

The specialist for assembly work – Emission-free installation and maintenance of overhead contact line systems

InnoTrans 2022 gave us the opportunity to talk about the ÖBB's large-scale order to modernize its fleet of maintenance vehicles. As part of this order, we are supplying a total of 56 zero-emission, high-performance maintenance vehicles with environmentally friendly hybrid drives. They will ensure high track availability and reliable operation on the ÖBB network.
This year, we will be presenting the CatenaryCrafter 15.4 E³ C/B/I (Catenary/Battery/Internal combustion engine) at the outdoor exhibition grounds. The machine is specially optimized for assembly work on overhead contact line systems.

A variable all-rounder – the Plasser CompactFlex 4x4

Compact tamping machine with technology and quality from Plasser & Theurer

The Plasser CompactFlex 4x4, which will be presented at the outdoor exhibition grounds of InnoTrans this year, is a versatile and compact tamping machine for plain-line tracks and turnouts. It is one of a series of 41 machines that are being manufactured as part of a major order for the state railway company TRC in Taiwan. Based on Plasser & Theurer’s technology for compact tamping machines that has been tried and tested for decades, this new series has been further developed in a modular design.

Plasser SmartTamping – Zuverlässige Unterstützung für Qualitätsarbeit

The aim of every tamping process is optimum filling and compaction below the sleeper, which form the basis of an exact, long-lasting track position. Intelligent tamping machines from Plasser & Theurer combine digital assistance with precise controllability. This ensures verifiable quality in all process steps, even when taking into account varying infrastructure conditions.

Plasser Datamatic

Digital optimization of operation and maintenance – Platform for more productivity, efficiency, and availability

Plasser Datamatic is an online platform of the latest generation. It is unique among track maintenance machines in terms of scope, and it opens up extremely effective options for optimizing operation and maintenance.

3D simulation tools for education and training

Better qualified staff with simulators - Realistic, safe, and efficient training

With better qualified personnel, the performance of our machines and their productivity can be increased even further. The necessary training on real machines involves a great deal of effort, which is why we offer professional 3D simulation tools for different machine types.
